VP 40:1 Premixed Small Engine Fuel is a 94 octane ethanol-free fuel that is specifically engineered and formulated for hard-working 2-cycle engines in outdoor power equipment (OPE), such as the ones found in your string trimmer, snow thrower, or chainsaw. A 2-cycle engine runs hotter and demands better maintenance. VP engineers its 40:1 mix from higher-grade base stocks with only the best components. Our 40:1 mix is ready to use out of the can, which takes the guesswork out of mixing oil and gas. Each can has the perfect oil and gas mix ratio.The SEF lubricant package in our 40:1 mix has the highest JASO FD rating available for small engine oil. Our lubricant package also meets or exceeds ISO-L-EGD and API TC standards, as well as all manufacturers’ specs, including Stihl, Husqvarna, Echo, Maruyama, Shindaiwa, and more! Do you currently use pump gas to power your expensive OPE? Most people use pump gas in their outdoor power equipment, assuming that if they can use it in their vehicle, it’s good enough for their equipment. The fact is, pump gas is the worst thing you can use. Why? In a word, ethanol. Ethanol is used as an oxygenate in pump gas. As it sits in the tank, as it often does in OPE, it attracts water. Water promotes corrosion, and corrosion is deadly on the vital components of a 2-cycle engine. Before you know it, you’ll be spending money to rebuild an engine or replace your equipment. Pump gas also starts to degrade quickly (think weeks, not months) and forms gums faster.
