Because the subplate secures with wiring device mounting screws, no additional fasteners are necessary - and there's no need to remove the device. All it takes is five minutes and a screwdriver to achieve a sleek, updated appearance. Simply loosen the device mounting screws, snap the two-piece plastic sub-plate into place behind the straps and retighten the mounting screws. The wall plate simply snaps in place over the subplate and automatically conforms to the wall. The two-piece plastic subplate is specifically designed to bridge the recessed boxes and uneven sheet rock and features automatic alignment pins to ensure that the devices are properly positioned so that the wall plate fits perfectly.
