Pool Breeze Total Alkalinity Increaser is used to raise the total alkalinity of pool water. * Total alkalinity is the amount of alkali present in the form of carbonates and bicarbonates. * These compounds serve as buffers or agents which prevent drastic shifts in pH when acidic or basic chemicals are added to the pool. Large shifts in pH due to low * total alkalinity can result in corrosion or scaling of pool surfaces or equipment. The total * alkalinity should be maintained between 100-120 ppm (for pools treated with Pool Breeze).Properties
