Safe Step 6300 Enviro Blend Ice Melter 40 lb Pail is safer for people pets and vegetation. It has the melting power that outperforms other ice melter blends. The patented formula contains our powerful melting catalyst MG104 which helps prevent refreezing substantially longer than conventional products. Each granule contains the action of multiple ice melting ingredients for true melting power to minus 10F or minus 23C. Plus it prevents refreezing longer than conventional ice melters which reduces concrete harming freeze thaw cycles. Safe Step 6300 has earned a Safer Choice designation from the EPA providing a product that is effective and safer for health and the environment. INGREDIENTS: Sodium Chloride, Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate, Potassium Chloride, MG 104 Melting Catalyst. Use 3/4 cup (7 ounces) per square yard of Safe Step 6300 Enviro-Blend and spread evenly, avoiding piling or overspreading. Remove resulting slush. Reapply ice melter as needed. WARNING: All deicers can accelerate surface damage to concrete, since they increase the number of freeze-thaw cycles. Poor quality concrete is especially susceptible to damage. However, the hazards associated with slippery surfaces must be weighed against the potential of surface damage. Use this product only on good quality, air-entrained concrete for cold weather climates. Do not use on concrete that is less than one year old, has exposed aggregate, is precast, stamped, pre-stressed, chipped, cracked, spalled or weathered; or on stone, brick, mortar joints or wood.
